Silent Disco, Livingston // Camera Operator & Film Production, Edinburgh

In late November, we organised full film production for a silent disco event at The Centre, Livingston. The disco was held as a promotional stunt to attract people to the centre for the Christmas Shopping season.We filmed the disco using a simple run and gun system, with the Laing steadicam and the Canon 17-55 EFS lens.The edit was aiming to be contemporary and the music wasn't chosen to be festive specifically, as the content was festive enough.Event film production is a daunting business sometimes, because you have no idea what is going to happen and yet you know you need to get all the key shots to capture the spirit of the event. Luckily, an apprenticeship filming weddings meant that this was a relatively easy shoot.We're unable to share this edit with you unfortunately, but if you'd like to see examples of our work, drop us a line.
